I was raised in Grand Marais, Minnesota on the north shore of Lake Superior where I took painting classes at the Grand Marais Art Colony. I currently return to that wilderness area in the summer.

 

Throughout my life I have filtered images into shape and light in the landscape of the north woods. I have been heavily influenced as well by living in New Mexico and traveling in foreign countries.

 

I have been a dancer and find movement to be an integral part of the vision portrayed in my work.
